Knitting Round on 3 dpns!

Check this out! I am knitting the Morehouse Merino Rattlesnake Scarf very happily on dpns, and I'm using only 3 needles, AND I am enjoying it, AND the knitting looks great! [picture will one day appear]

Is this a dream?!!

This technique is very much like Cat Bordhi's Socks on 2 Circulars yet more straightforward. I think the circular cables and dangling needle tips are confusing because I am distracted by 2 needle tips waiting and dangling, I don't like anything to dangle.
